I was watching Lance and Jan climb up a hill during the 2001 race and he attacked and put a HUGE gap between him and Jan. I was thinking how demoralizing that must feel. I mean, here is guy who won the tour in 97 so he is a strong rider but he cant even respond to lances attack. Lance is just a crazy athlete

Yep, my thighs were burning just watching! 2001 was a dominant performance for LA. That is the year I remember most. However, last year's tour was much more exciting because you didn't really know until the final TT, who was going to win. LA probably would have lost if he had been on any other team. I predict this year will be even better! Lance, Jan, Tyler, Mayo, Heras, oh my! (I left out some)

Without a doubt, Lance was off last year as seen by his dominating wins in previous years and there are several events that explain his decline. I think the odds are that none of those same events will occur this year. I think Lance will be in much better “shape” this year in that regard, but the jury is still out on his legs.
It should be fun

I can't wait for Stage 16 - Individual Time Trial - Bourg d'Oisans > L'Alpe d'Huez
This is where "I think" the Maillot Jaune will be decided.... Or at least where we see the overall GC trimmed to the top 3 riders who have a shot of a lap of victory around the Champs-Elys'ees.
