did Sufferfest "Fight Club" with some of my teammates. Yeeeotch. Did sprint for 1100 watts after it was done, which was more than I've ever done on a trainer. Probably cuz I haven't hardly ridden this week.

Also, we have the full El Gato kit for sale if you wanna look extra pro. That, I can do TF prices on as well.

Did you try the socks yet?

Couple hour, four man, tempo work today. Kept it sane until we had a huge breeze to out backs. I started drilling it until I was asked to stop.

Tomorrow will be weights and core.

Bikeforums censors anything at all critical of the obese, trust me.

wrapping up 3 days off. feeling about the same. not dying, no respiratory congestion, but every morning i wake up and my throat feels like a couple of raccoons have been fighting in it.

my legs feel good and rested though. back on the bike for the commute tomorrow, then hopefully after work i'll bang out a couple of little efforts.

Another weekend on the trainer...90mins each day...4x10's Saturday and 6x6's with accelerations today...coach is keeping things in check, doesn't want another setback...

Our week in Georgia is a month away and so is the first races...

Hopefully the friggin snow stops around here so we can actually get out on the road before heading down or I may have to re-think the racing...Well at least the crit...

had an ok week missed a few workouts due to life getting in the way and a fitting

my first ride after my fit and I feel much better... wasn't in any pain but wanted a lower position and now my hands actually sit in the hoods with a compact bar

hoping the lower position translates into less trouble for my heavy ass in the wind

RB. I feel your pain I did 3 hours on my trainer today

usually right before the rubber hood.. you could see where the tape was worn. I could reach the rubber part but it didn't feel natural

my bars were not setup right before... i had to reach to find the actual hood and couldn't reach my brake levers easily in the drops...I rarely used my drops

I'm jealous. Last year my schedule was such that I could do weeks like this by taking off work early and making it up in the evening. I can't do that this semester. Not even close. Once DST gets here I will be getting in a lot more hours.

Right now I don't feel like a bike racer on my bike. I feel like a fat guy Fred. When I am in shape I am an Elite Fred.

2.25 hours with 2x10 z3 and 2x10 z4 efforts on flat to rolling terrain. It was a beautiful winter day in NorCal - sunny and high 50s.

2.5 hours on a team ride today. Easy pacelining out towards the airport, then three man chase, then some crit scenarios, then an easy ride back into town. Very nice.

56 miles. Tried something new, last climb I stayed in the drops and pedaled like I was in a TT since my TT power is higher than my road power. Much better climb. Of course it was beautiful in SoCal. Tons of bikes on the coast route.

Taking day 1 of my rest week a little too seriously. Slept in this morning and going to watch HS Girls Basketball regional games with my daughter tonight for a good hour of fostering her interest in basketball intervals.

I may hop on the trainer later tonight and get my short z1 spin that was scheduled. Or not

Did 12? intervals with the Navone Studio boys. Nice set up, projector, big screen, and we watched of all things SDC helmet cam clips (their choice - I wanted to keep watching the 06 Giro which I'd never seen before, but they must have tried to honor their guest by playing the DVDs I gave them). First time in a while I'd seen my HR over 160 repeatedly, managed 166 momentarily for one. Really poor, but I rarely do well HR-wise when not in a race.

For comparison I'll avg 172 for the last few minutes of a race and have seen 178+ going into the last lap of a race. On the other end I see 155-158 as soon as I start riding "medium hard". Call me "narrow-power-band".
