Looking forward to the rain so I can get back on and re-connect with all the guys I road with last year (from New York, Alaska, Canada, France to name a few) |

You should be able to use it without a computer through the keypad interface.

If it wants a PC interface and you have a mac you might look into running Windoze
in a VMWare Fusion Virtual Machine ( 50~60 dollars) or in a VirtualBox VM (free). Jerry |
I bet a cheap netbook could run computrainer software.

That online racing stuff just sounds awesome. I've only been on a computrainer for some testing, never doing the online stuff.
Does it make the trainer better? Or does it still suck? |

Oh, I definitely wasn't gonna buy one. I was just curious. I am gonna buy a trainer soon, but probably just a magnetic.

Is it really that much better? I'm worried about getting a cheap fluid and having it leak. I don't know that I can really afford a good one.

If his iMac is "older" - i.e. over 4 years old, it'll have the PPC chipset and be unable to run the Windows simulators the newer Intel processors can.
