47 races.

correction: 54 races. I went back and checked the calendar.

2 wins (4 if you count 1 omnium and 1 TX Cup), 17 times in the money, dropped 10 times. 7 dnf's, 1 crash, no flats, 1 mechanical.

Foo. My legs have an accumulated fatigue. I think there's scar tissue deep in those muscles.

Now multiply by the average race entry fee and you're looking at over $1500. UGH!

the Tuesday nighters are $10 each, and many of the others had discounted 2nd entry. but yeah, close to $20 avg I'd guess. Didn't spend much on hotels but I did buy gas and food for many of them.

Eh, no one said this was a cheap sport.

Nice job. I only had ~30 races in this year. I could count but that would be a lot of work.

I ended up with 48, that includes 4 Tue. night crits. My legs were pretty smoked at the end. Learned a lot, got some results and upgraded to Cat 3. Plus I stayed off the ground through it all. Now I have to get ready for next year.

Great job Creakyknees!

for the year 2009.

total since I started in the 80's? ... more than I want to think about right now.

but, 2009 is definitely the most racing I've ever done in one year. there simply weren't as many races back in the day, and life/family/job all hit a great situation this year, so I got to ride my bike a lot.

30 races or so. But I did do 3 crits in one day. That should count for something.

I know, someone did 4. I'm a wuss. Go ahead with your bad self.

Somewhere between 45-55 for me. Plus a few nights at the track and a cross race or two.

I got well over 100 if I get to count the thursday nights crits I did. It adds up fast when you do 3 races in a night!

absolutely

my best years were always when I had 70+ races
if we'd had more training crits back then, I'd have easily been over 100 a number of times
