Socks-good ones for race schwag

Contemplating good quality socks as schwag for the Dead Dog Classic this year. I've seen several threads discussing where to buy team kits but don't remember if socks have ever been mentioned. So for you racers, which brand of socks (that we could get done up with the Dead Dog logo) would you prefer. I know that at least a couple of you have raced up here before, but I would like opinions from all of you.

Thanks - maybe see you in Laramie 26-27 June for the Dead Dog Classic stage race https://www.deaddogclassic.com
Couldn't resist the shameless plug.

Socks w/ the Dead Dog logo of course:

Perhaps w/ stitching to read, "GC '10, TT '10, Prime '10", etc (given to winner based on what event/year).

Good ideas. However, a quick google did not yield a source to customize the Asics socks.
Keep the ideas coming!
Some folks have had problems with the toes in the Sock Guy socks wearing out fast.
I have not. Will look into those.
I actually prefer DeFeet AirEators.

I'm pretty sure DeFeet does custom sock orders directly. The only thing is that the minimum order is 144 pairs.

GC leader (in each cat) should be awarded/given (and have to wear the next day) a pair of yellow Dead Dog socks.

+1 for DeFeet they are quick and easy to work with and have great socks. I think the minimum might be as low as 72, but for the Dead Dog you shouldn't have any problem with 144 pairs.

We could easily do 350-400 pairs. Sizing is always an issue, but if we do it right we could hold them over until the next year. Love the idea of the yellow ones. Might be leaning towards DeFeet.

Definitely DeFeet. I'm a big fan of Lin as well - but I have no experience with their custom socks.

I have no less than 30 pairs of cycling socks. Sockguy, SOS, Defeet, Castelli, Capo, Pearl Izumi, etc, etc, all suck! Once you put a pair of Swiftwick socks on your feet all others fail in comparison. I never thought there was that much difference till you actually have had a really nice pair of socks. You really notice it on a 5+ hour traing ride when it is over 100 degrees!!!

The Mellow Johnny's socks are SwiftWick as well. I was given a pair and then I was hooked.

I wear the Four Ole. Nothing better! They will custom make socks as well. Most manufactures require a 100 pair minimum, so keep that in mind. Good luck.
