It's going to be fun seeing how this all turns out. Hey, not for nothing, love or hate Lance, that 2009 TdF was the best soap opera EVER. It's going to be fun watching all the sophomoric sniping again this year. Much more interesting with Lance in the mix. No doubt. Just the fact that it pisses so many people off makes it worth the price of admission. And it does piss people off.

I like it.

My theory: old guys can't afford to lose as much fitness in the off season.

Being fast in January isn't usually a good sign for being fast in July...

I completely agree with the first point. I don't know how fast he is, but he looks lean, and if the Power Meter says he's putting out the watts, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Think you're gonna age like wine, Butch? You ain't. You're a hell of a fighter, but at some point, it's more than head games. At some point there's a mountain selection and you gotta pedal with Alberto and Andy. I don't see it happening.

And Carmichael? He has all the credibility of the ShamWOW guy.

Contador said it first:
I mean, unless you are O'Grady, everyone is saying it.
Even old guys like Leipheimer.

I'm with Riis though.

Lance in better shape. Huh.. whatever, it'll just make a better battle in July, I just hope I can get eurosport coverage. It's not that I hate Lance, it's just I can't stand the constant barrage of Lance-centric coverage.

edit: Yep I'm with Riis too. He'll do well, but not as well as last year.

Gee Carmichael is saying that Lance is good...I'm SHOCKED!! I'm more inclined to go with this guys assessment. Although I'm not at all shocked that Pclown and the other fanboys are already slurping at the unib@ller's feet.
