7800 Dura Ace-2008 Madone

I'm looking into getting a Dura Ace 7800 group. Only problem is is that the bottom bracket it comes with isn't big enough for my Madone which is 90mm. Would I have to get a new bottom bracket or will my existing one that I have work with the Dura Ace. Thanks

<rip>Bottom bracket work on a Madone is futile. The shell is likely to crumble at some point no matter what. Mine did, just from pedaling.</rip>

You need to research crank compatibility with your current cranks. There are different outside BB sizes that will take the standard 2-piece Shimanagnolo cranks.

Just take what you got and jam it in there. Madone BB's give pretty easily, she'll be right.

This demonstrates the value of a local bike shop. Go there and ask

1. Wrong forum
2. You can't use a regular bb with Trek's bb90. Talk to your LBS.
3. I have a feeling you should have your LBS take care of this.
