I'll be there. Haven't figured out what combination of Cat 4 / Masters 45 I'm racing the 2 days.
I messed up this weekend. Decided to skip Dade City to be with Family, only to have my wife stuck in Boston, and I'm home alone.

Windy I'm OK with. Hilly ... not so much. As for "suck", that pretty much describes my shape right now, but I'm pointing toward late May and June and not anything soon. This is my rationalization.
Still, this was one race I wanted to do. Nice road races are worth the entry fee. Instead I just got back into Hogtown after spending a few days in Chicago with Spawn Primo and visiting older sister and her husband.

Anyone ridden or familiar with the Sat Winter Garden course?
It looks strikingly like another empty subdivision-gone-bankrupt course and it's close to Clermont which means it'll probably have a nasty hill or three.

Lovely. Nothing like getting smacked around by some 120# juniors every lap for the better part of an hour.
We'll be there. Where were you yesterday? I was cooked from Sat also, so don't use that excuse.

I ended up 21st; kinda sucks but considering I nursed myself back from the dead Sat via salt tablets, Pedialyte and lots of H2O- no complaints here.

I'll be about 5 miles from the Circuit race on Sat. But I'll be loading up the kiddos to head back home. Wonder if I could sneak in an extra night at the hotel....

Not bad... Jimmy Page and his USF teammate lapped the field around the 35min mark which was somewhat demoralizing. Good for them- can't say enough good things about those guys and their abilities. All those (current and former) Citrus guys are excellent racers with good attitudes.

I really enjoy hanging out with Doug and Chuck. My wife's 77 year old uncle lives in Inverness and sometimes rides with the citrus guys.

I'd be there if it wasn't SECCC racing in Tally.

I might wussy out. I'm just getting over a nasty stomach virus. Still feeling abdominal cramps. Saturday just might be too soon.

I've been sick as a dog for a couple of days, so I decided not to race this weekend. Today I felt OK and went out for a ride and felt great. Actually, I felt way better than I should feel considering that I've hardly been on my bike for the last month except to commute or race.
Since I had said that I probably wouldn't race this weekend my wife and I have made plans for a romantic dinner out "late-ish" tonight. I'm thinking that mentioning "I'm feeling better and I need to be waking up well before the crack of dawn to go do a bike race" might kill the mood.

The cat5 race is at 4PM. You can go out late tonight and still make it.
I promise to attack at least once in my race tomorrow. Maybe on Sunday too.
