It's an uphill tt, not super steep or super long. I can post my data when I get home. I want to say I did 15 min or so, good for like 50th of 100 or so. The circuit race has a pretty good climb in it. Not a long sustained climb but pretty steep followed by a technical descent and a hard bottom corner winding into the final stretch. I got dropped on the descent/bottom corner after iirc 5 laps, did 1 solo and 2 with another guy that I caught and just missed the time cutoff, so I didn't do the crit.

The climb had KOM points on alternating laps, and there were sprint points at the s/f line on the other laps. It was a fun race.

Was that in the 3s or 4s last year?

I'm considering it even though I probably would miss the time cutoff. I'm curious to see the data on the climb in the RR. Short and steep I can do. Any climb longer than 8-10 minutes at race pace is going to do me in.

15min TT would be a first place in Cat 5

I signed up for the race before I realized the TT is uphill .... oooops

I should have sign for the Murrieta RR .... the TT is on Fiesta Island this year which would be perfect for me ....

Nevertheless, I signed up because I will get 3 credits in 3 days

You only get 2, tts don't count. My time may have been 16 something, I don't remember. The results are online.

Yeah, you'll only get 2 for SDSR.

It's not too late for Murrieta. Sign up for 5A and 5B Grand Prix for Saturday. Then sign up for 5A Circuit Race on Sunday. That will give you 3 credits.

The MapMyRide profile on the SDSR website shows only 250 feet of elevation per lap for the RR. Is that accurate?

Only 2? Damn, now I'm even more bummed about signing up. Oh well, it should be fun since I never done any uphill TT. Should I bring my TT bike? Just kidding

16:44 ... 49th (in Cat 5 you would be 6th)
It will take me at least 20 min

No, it's more like 500-600 total for the lap.

Here is the first lap data. The highlighted portion was about 150 feet of gain, 6%-10%, took about 1:30. So way shorter than I remembered.

Code:
 Lap 1 (0:18:04.40):
	Duration: 17:58
	Work: 238 kJ
	TSS: 28.8 (intensity factor 0.982)
	Norm Power:	294
	VI: 1.33
	Distance: 7.097 mi
	Elevation Gain: 610 ft
	Elevation Loss: 617 ft
			Min	Max	Avg
	Power: 0	838	221 watts
	Cadence: 2	119	88 rpm
	Speed: 0.8	39.5	23.6 mph
	Altitude: 932	1145	1020 ft

You'll also have to make the time cutoffs to make it to the next day, unlike at Murrieta.

I'd have to check the rules to be sure, but I don't think that there is a time cut for the TT. You just have to worry about finishing within 5% of the leaders in the RR. Don't get dropped

Murrieta is an omnium instead of a stage race, and that's why there is no time cuts and you don't have to do all the stages.

Is there a flyer or some sort of info available that would include start times for each cat? (especially for the cat 5 )

Apparently the registration is closed and I do not see any details on bikereg.com or the SDSR website.

They will probably have start times up later in the week. But I suspect the 5s will be ass-early. IIRC last year they were first.

You can arrange to transfer your "place", but not your entry (i.e. they still have to pay iirc) to someone in your club/team. I did that last year when I upgraded to the 3s at the last moment, and got a friend my spot in the full 4s.
