Oh yes. A couple of years ago the State Senate presented Dave Brubeck with a resolution on his 80th birthday and I got my mom an invitation to the reception. When we were presented to him, he stuck out his hand and said "Hi, I'm Dave." I had this momentary fear about grabbing his hand too hard. I mean, what if I were the guy who hurt Dave Brubeck's hand?

He took my hand in his bony 80 year old hand and absolutely crushed it. Duh. The guy has been playing the piano for 70 years, of course he's got strong hands.

Wow what an awesome experience!!!

I got to see him play in concert a while back but was never closer than 50 feet away.

Pretty lights vs radiohead vs nirvana vs NIN.

Omg. I get shivers listening to how awesome this is...

So this very well may be a replica of my last post in this thread, but these two I have actually been practicing:

This one is easy. Just started but shouldn't take me too long to learn it:

This one not so much, but I have been on it for a while. Only have a couple of lines left to master:

The sheet music I have is pretty much a replica of the piano solo with the left hand emulating the bass player, plus an intro and outro similar to the above posted album version.

thanks mang. Check out training status for the latest and greatist.

I'm at work right now and pandora is crackin' but i'll check out your post later. I'm guessing it's electro-type stuff from the looks of it.
I don't listen to too much of that stuff, but I love me some Daft Punk and recently, Justice.

Speaking of Justice:

doesn't really start crackin' till :45 in.

If you like that you might like Cloudkicker, specifically their album Beacons.

Also on the more jazz fusion side of things you might like CAB

I like some of The Chemical Brothers stuff. But just the heavier, dancey stuff.
Unfortunately I don't know too many. Can you guys give me a few to listen to? I really liked, "Hey Boy, Hey Girl." That's more my style.

You like dnb stuff too right? I'm really really into the heavier side of things, but love when it's mixed up with some really nice female vocals like the track I posted above.

What about stuff like this?

This is a playlist I listen to at work has a lot of dnb/dubsteppy stuff. Most of it is at about 140 bpm, so it's made for clubs and dancing. I love the alternation between soft melodies and the insane harsh drop. Love it. That's why I'm finally starting to learn some of this stuff and I picked up a midi keyboard and stuff recently. It'll keep me occupied and hopefully allow me to take some of the ideas and stuff in my head and put them on some sort of medium.

Here's that playlist. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...eature=mh_lolz

Subby, what about glitch?

Here's a playlist by glitch mob.

yeah man, I have to agree. but the energy of his songs are great when you're hammering up a hill. and I love his song "beef and broccoli"

Yeah, I'm hooked on this after hearing the first guitar riff. I used to be on a huge post-rock/ambient rock kick. And Explosions in the Sky is still one of my favorites.

I always leaned toward Explosions a bit more than the likes of Godspeed You Black Emperor.

Though this song still kicks my ass every time I hear it:
