Dana Point GP video

they have the live video feed on the website: https://www.danapointgrandprix.com/in.../watch-it-live

does anyone know if they post footage of the other races (specifically the cat5a/b from this morning)? I would love to see the 5a replay!

Nice ride dude! First chasing, than pulling. You were going strong. Did you finish the 5B?

thanks, i was running a bit late this morning dispite waking up at 4:30am. I had to go on the waitlist to get into 5a and ended up not warming up... so i decided to just use the first race as a warmup haha. ended up finishing in the pack in both a and b.

No kidding, I did the same. Used the 5B as a warmup for 30+
Finished the 30+ mid pack. Pretty much my goal was to stay out of troubles after the San Dimas crash so I'm happy to be 80% done with Cat 5.

I watched the last half of the Womens P123 and most of the Cat 3. So many crashes, turn 6 may be the most crash prone turn in all of SoCal racing. Glad I vowed to stay away from that course.

+1. This race is literally in my backyard and I refuse to race it because of the frequent crashfests in turn 6.

Anyone see the Men's P 1/2 race? Read that Bahati was deliberately brought down by a UHC guy.

Jake Keough took out Bahati, who quite obviously thought it was either purposeful or due to severe lack of common sense. He threw his water bottle at Keough next time around.

This I heard second hand, but from someone at the scene... granted someone associated with Bahati.

I was at the race, it is true, Bahati was taken out. He was very pissed.

He threw his sunglasses not a bottle but it was still pretty crazy. He was halfway out into the road.

UHC guy allegedly said "I don't care if we crashed Bahati we need some respect." That's not how you get it. U.S. peleton is pretty small.

I also heard that he said that. Not very professional on either sides.

Some people were saying that Rahsaan was trying to get in on UHC's train. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. Even if he was, that's poor etiquette, not out and out maliciousness. I can't see any excuse for the UHC guy doing what he did. Defend your position, for sure, but to deliberately turn into someone and crash 20% of the field is absurd. If you watch the vid at 0:39-0:40, you can see that the UHC rider is taking a full on right turn in the middle of the straight. He probably wasn't interested in that getting on video as clearly as it is.

Watching those vids made me mad!!

Here's a blog by a UHC rider that was there.. he's taking the line that "everyone involved looks dumb and we the racing community blew a good chance to represent ourselves."

Wow.

It doesn't appear to me that UHC has as much control of the front as they want to believe. There were laps to go at this point. No way UCH was going to maintain the front anyway and they didn't. They still lost.

It would be a safe bet that the guy who pulled off that 'move' might live to regret it sometime soon.

I see the UnitedHealth corporate culture is already permeating its race team.
