So Event Services came to AL to anoounce Saturday's race, and
what he wanted to know on Sunday was who had bib #1 for the Mt. Cheaha Century (He had #2).
Seriously, he did a great job Saturday. The weather was great, the races were fast, broadcast live on the WWW, and a dozen of the women 1/2 field crashed in Turn 1.
For you 2/3 men, we had a field of 116. Come join the fun next year. We also got good reviews on the inaugural Foothills Road Race added to Sunday's calendar. Pretty course through rolling countryside, and a climb before the finish that ended many dreams.
I can highly recommended ES. Better than last year's TdF veteran; and I don't think he handed out any extra primes, so he probably even got paid. It was good to meet him, and I'm enjoying his book.
Ben Kersten, fly V australia, won the men's Crit, Alessandro Bazzana took Sunday's RR.
and don't buy Mercury Wheels. The pit crew had to change out several brand new out of the box wheels for spoke loosening.
