theres a ride that leaves casa larios in sunset place on saturdays around 7 am. you should be able to hang with that group. the ride is 60-65 miles round trip. Aso sign up on for the mailing list here http://www.elitecycling.net/ they have a ride one saturday a month that isn't very hard but is good group riding experience and about 40 miles round trip. pm me with any more questions.

these aren't races though, just group rides.

thats a fun ride but right now I think it might be too fast for him. pinecrest elementary on sundays is a little more tame though.

Somewhat on-topic: are there any USAC races in the Keys, or in Key West for that matter?

there is a january stage race in the bahamas I might be headed to in a year or so.... :innocent:
any interest from the RCR contingent?

T and Th, a ride leaves at 6 AM from Johnny rockets in Coconut Grove. It is supposedly a tempo ride, but the last stretch always turns into a hammerfest. Another ride at 6:30 AM on W and F from the intersection of Sunet Dr and Red road (57th ave) in South Miami. Usually race pace. Both of these rides are big groups, on narrow streets, in traffic so they are not for the feint of heart.

speaking of which, I haven't seen you there in a while. And the tempo ride happens if you survive the hammerfest in the beginning! Now that it's warming up these guys are getting abusive, it averaged 25 mph for the first lap today, heck of a tempo ride.

Love to - the Bahamas are great - think the team will reimburse travel expenses?!
