Barrio Logan Grand Prix and Mark Reynolds San Luis Rey Road Race. Who is in?
Anybody doing the Barrio or San Luis Rey road race?
|
I'm in for SLR, driving down with umd that morning.
|
Im in for San Luis Rey
|
i will be at San Luis Rey cat4
|
I'll be at BL for CAT 3/4 (no CAT 3 wtf?). I'll be at SLR for maybe 3 laps working for a teammate. At that point he should be in a break and I'll be OTB.

Mental note: mark the CA Pools guys...
I'm in no condition to compete for 75 miles. My only goal is to try and be near the front on one of the early laps to help drive the pace up for a few minutes. At that point it will be up to him. |
I'm in for SLR in the 3's. I have no idea how it's going to go since I'm coming off a 3 week endurance training block.
Oh, and for the record, I'm not doing Barrio Logan because it's 3/4. Wtf? Why do the 4's have their own race, and then get a 3/4 as well? |
BL in. Lots of teammates doing SLr but I'm gonna do Signal Hill instead.

Should I embrace the suck and sign up for SLR as well? |

I'm not complaining since it allows me to double up, with tacos in between.
But not me, I suck at crits and I'm not going.

In for both. I'm sort of looking forward to the road race. They added another lap this year-- 103 miles should be excellent training.

What team do you race for again? I want to make sure to stay clear of your backside in the 3/4s.
|
not in...i have a friends funeral to go to on Saturday and basically i suck so no road races for me any time soon.
|
I would love to do SLR but I'm too fat this season for it. :(
Next year... |
I am going to do SLR. But I am not even in the same league as you guys. My choice is do I want to get dropped from the Masters 4/5 or the standard 5A or 5B?
|
The 5s will probably be easier to stay wth the pack for longer...
|
A teammate of mine, CAT4, is doing SLR as his first ever road race. Is it a tough race? I haven't looked at the profile.

That map is for the old course. The new course isn't as hard- http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2777609
It's a 5 minute climb that's steepest in the middle and flattens out about 1/2 mile from the finish. The rest of the course is basically flat. |
The old course was pretty hard, the new one as Eric said, not as much. Power climber kind of course.
