I've got a few friends going. Shawn Gravois, Kyle McElhanny (which I probably just misspelled) and Kyle Rohan.

Blue Mounds is a b of a climb. Good luck. Should be nothing for a Colorado man....I mean after all there is no climbing here right??

It's all relative For us heavy weights it's a b of a climb, for him probably a bump in the road.

Oh. Well, MIT wins the ECCC overalls pretty consistently. I think their team is bigger and more balanced than most other teams. They beat out UVM last year too.

So, are you saying that they rule, are dominant, cannot be stopped, etc.?

not at all. But as a points scoring machine, they are set up pretty well to take advantage of the way the conference awards overall points. (for example, check the standings for "nationals" qualifying points and you'll find a very different story)

Well, that depends on your definition of "dominant". UVM as a whole is the dominant force in Men's A. But the nice thing about cycling is that it's not all about Men's A, at least for a lowly C rider like myself.

Thanks for the luck guys

Psimet, I doubt we'll get south, pretty busy weekend, but if we end up heading that way I'll shoot you a message. I just emailed you about a teammate who is dying to get ahold of some PSIMET wheels too

I'm in Madison now, with an awesome host family. Pre-riding the road race course tomorrow, and maybe the TTT course. Excited to see this climb first hand. Still think it might be a bit big to really play to my strengths (to be honest, more than 90 seconds or so doesn't play to my strenghts, but over 8 minutes and I'll really be in trouble). But either way I'll give it a shot . Pumped for the crit too.

Hey, Ze, I just realized we were out on the pre-ride today together. I was in a Penn kit, the only one with red bar tape. If I see you tomorrow I'll say hi.

(also, please tell me you were doing openers on the final climb. because geez...)

Got a tweet earlier from a person I'm following there with the Cumberland University cycling team that says the cell coverage is a little spotty where they are (I can believe it having been through those areas many times).

According to a UVM guy's tweet, looks like a Cal Polytech guy won it...

Results thus far:
1. Blake Anton - Cal Poly SLO
2. Adam Ross Wisseman - CSU

3rd is possibly Menso from CalPoly SLO as well. Good day for the WCCC and SLO.

edit: 3rd was Menso from SLO. SLO didn't qualify as a team to go to Nats, Blake and Menso were the only two guys to qualified individually for that team. Good thing that they both got in.

Domestique teammate snuck away and took 2nd! Literally just rode off the from while all the favorites just looked at each other. So happy for him! I was super marked, hit the last climb with the final group of 30 and just dug in. It was about 45* and raining, my skinny ass was freezing and legs were locked up pretty good. The top 2 were both big dudes. Top 15 is all I know.

Crit tomorrow, plan on winning it.

Philly roadie - yep, openers. And just seeing how long it took near full power. How did you do today?

The first time I ever raced against Menso (the guy who got 3rd) was at Boulevard in the B's. It was maybe 35 degrees out at the start and he won the race with no arm warmers or leg warmers. I'd say he can handle the cold pretty well.
