New SRM Tips/Advice
I just acquired an SRM from a very nice friend and it's going to be installed tomorrow. Any tips/advice for a first time SRM (and PM) user??? Also, what software do you recommend for a Mac? I have the Allan and Coggan ride, so I'll certainly be using that, but before 200-some pages of reading, what should i know? What are the first steps to using an SRM for a first-timer???

Truth....I also should be writing two research papers right now so I'm not exactly going to cruise through this book. Just looking for some instant gratification....

Make sure your head unit is charged and always zero it before you start riding.
Srm is known for not having the units calibrated very good, so go here and calibrate it from the start to make sure your power readings are accurate. It took me about 20 minutes to do including setup

I use Golden Cheetah on the Mac. It's free software, and good enough for me that I'm not willing to pay for WKO+.

You don't need to read the book before you use it. Once you've got it setup and calibrated, Just go out and ride. Do the rides you normally do, and the training you would have done any. As you're doing this read the book. When you have abit of data accumulated, you can start breaking it down, do some testing, and startusing it to tailer your training.
