Mt. Hamilton: Mooch a ride back?
Hoping to do Mt. Hamilton, but was hoping to mooch a ride back to somewhere close to the start. Any options?

My car's full.
Load up on free clif bars and fruits, stretch and hang out a bit, and take a leisurely 45 mile spin back. It's not really that bad.
You can also ride to BART and take that somewhere if you're really dying.

I thought it was 64 miles back, too. Don't really know that area all that well, but I assume there's a shortcut that means I don't have to go over Hamilton again?

If you got the e-mail from SportsBasement/the promoters, they give you a link to the route back. It's just directions though, no map.
You might get lucky and mooch a ride from some stranger at the finish area, as well.

I've got room for one more rider and bike in my van. PM me.
It's about 40 miles back. It's flat from the finish through Sunol and then there's some small climbs on Calaveras. Maybe 1000' of climbing total.
