Sounds like a pretty good reason to stay home. Sure to bring out all the dopes trying to impress the guy.

And a few of the dopes that show up might eventually become real bike racers. I can dream, can't I? |
I told you all this in the twitter feed.

I'm a promoter but not of the summer Bethel Series. I am a big fan of Navone Studios, who supplies the pizza and other food/drink.
I did think about the whole "If I attack then Paul will say my name". Must have been massive attacks for a while. *edit* even the pros get sucked into it. In 1985, when Hinault and Lemond were on La Vie Claire (or was it 1986?), a movie studio took footage of the Tour as background shots for a then planned Dustin Hoffman movie "Yellow Jersey". Apparently this flat transition stage turned into a huge pursuit when Hinault, Phil Anderson (with 3 teammates), Stephen Roche (with 3 teammates), and some other guys took off. They were all hamming it up for the camera. |

CDR is a promoter. Bring out the dopes would mean future $'s in his pocket if he was there to leverage it. I'm sorry that he missed the opportunity.

paul sherwin is high profile?

So no, definitely not. |
He's high profile to the type of guy who only comes out to a training crit to see a guy on TV and crash...or sumthin'
|
did he bring the courage suitcase?
|
I hope some pedals got turned in anger on the run-in to the finish.

I am helping with a charity ride Oct 2 (Pedal for Paws - a cat thing, go figure). Maybe I can do something. Hm. |

At least Paul can occasionally get the call right. Phil just picks a name at random. My Versus movie was based on actual fact, I was watching a DVD of one of the spring classics and he got the actual race wrong.
