CT Area Races

I'm heading up to CT this Sep to visit family and wouldn't mind finding a race while I'm up there.

I see the Bethel training crit on the NEBRA site; are there others?

Also, can anyone recommend a shop in the Durham/Wallingford general vicinity that would rent bikes (or have a demo program) Trying to avoid the hassle of flying with mine if at all humanly possible.

TIA

Pedal power might be able to rent you a bike. Call them up and ask.

Pedalpowerct.com

There are tons of group rides in the area and sept is a beautiful time of the year to ride there. If you're starting in middletown, pedal power's site has a ton of route's on it.

I agree with the other responses about the availability and attraction of group rides in CT in Sept, however, to the best of my knowledge, the CT road racing season is done by Sept. You either need to travel elsewhere for a Sept race or look into doing Cross instead.

Tentatively, the first week in Sep. I'll be staying in Meriden @ the Hampton Inn right at 91 & Bee St. Mainly, I'll be spending time in Durham, Westbrook and Old Lyme.

Oh, and the bike is a 61 w/a 110 stem. I've been referred to as 'lanky' a few times.
