Moving brake pads rear to front
Any harm in moving the rear pads to the front and vice versa?

Just don't move the pad holders. Move the pads.

Well the pad holders have a front and rear. If you put the right holder from the front on the same arm of the rear brake, the pads can shoot out of the holder.
The molded tire guide usually has direction but if you ignore them then you can swap holders too.

Why bother ? It's like "rotating" tires. If things are worn, just replace them.
