8 yr old on Lightweights!

Got this off another site.

I want his dad to be my dad! Except I would have a talk with dad if he made me wear an Advantage II in a road race.

LOL.

I find the fact that he's wearing an aero helmet to be funnier.

That's my wife in the black hat, and nephew next to her.

My 6yo daughter is wearing pink and just her back is visible at the start line. She got 2nd.

I had just gone off with the U10 group (and my older son) to make sure they didn't miss any turns.

NICE!! Fill us in on the kid on 4000.00 wheels. That is just wild a parent would spend that kind of money on a bike for their kid. I am trying to decide if I would spend that kind of money on my kid (if I had one) if I made a ton of dough. If I was super wealthy, 4k might be like 5 bux to me. No biggie.

The other site says he/she is on Di2 as well!!!!!

You know what's great about racing at that age. You don't have to shave your legs. Or train at 4:30am before work.

Oh, and your pre race meal usually consist of milk and cookies, and possibly some Jello in cut into the shape of dinosaurs.

Could be the parent's wheels on the kid's bike. My money would be on the girl on the blue bike next to this kid.

The Lightweights is crazy.

The aero helmet and clips though, that's painful.

It really looks like there's DI2 on this bike aswell as the lightweight wheels and aerohelmet. I love this picture.

Awesome. A $10,000 set up and the kid still has to inch over the line.

I don't think anybody there noticed the wheels. I didn't even notice the helmet until the photo.

I guess someone on the sidelines may have noticed. I was busy trying to keep three kids from starting at the wrong time (3 waves).

Feelings not so much hurt Just fun to watch the kids enjoying the sport.
