These last 5lbs aren't going down without a fight so I bought a food scale and started measuring everything and tracking in TP. Already half done the season but the hilliest races are yet to come so it's still worth it. Plus I set a target weight and I intend to hit it, dammit.

I'm still hovering at 168-169, about 10 lbs more than where I started, about 20 lbs more than my goal weight. I've resigned myself to being about this weight for the rest of the season.

I went back up to 200

now I'm loosing again at 197 this morning, I started my diet Tuesday and apparently you tend to drop water fast due to the lick of carbs

my gf wanted to lose some weight since she is off the bike right now so we are trying out a primal diet... paleo with dairy essentially

I'm going to follow Joe Friel's recommendations on adapting the paleo for athletes and eat carbs pre, during and post hard work out but limit them during my low effort rides.

not looking to drop a drastic amount of weight but I have some time before key events and I would like to weight a bit less.. 190 ideally right now. In the off season I'll work towards 180 which will be my lightest since about 2002.

Have lost a good 8 lbs by having no money to buy food. Still have enough money for cycling stuff though... odd how that works.

I feel good on this diet ... the weather is horrible for riding lately big winds and big rains storms but I feel I'm still dropping weight

I've been avoiding the scale cause I do not like to weigh myself daily.... I become a bit obsessive

I have a road race this weekend I'm looking forward to the course is fun

I have till the end of July to loose weight slowly for my A priority race

Bumping this thread to hold myself accountable. I saw a dietician last week. I'm heavier (187) and fatter (17%) than I thought. And my diet is crap, so I'm following a plan. Nothing radical: fewer calories, more protein proportionally, and no junk.

I have decided to just forget about losing more weight. I can maintain 148-150lbs just by eating modest portions of mostly healthy food. Going to let my body dictate what is a good/healthy weight. Maybe losing that extra 3-4lbs would help but it's not worth starving myself over. It's not like there's any long climbs around here anyway.

Lost 6 pounds in two weeks. Saw the dietician again today. She wants me to eat more protein, at least 170g per day.

Good job!

Did she specify that it has to be food-based or can you supplement with powder? 170g is kind of a lot of chicken breast, you know?

170.1 this AM. In training hard for track, my weight went up to 175. After track Natz, I am doing more endurance and more TITS so my weight is back down.

Down 10 lbs since I started seeing a dietician. I may be losing a few watts on the top end, but the W/kg's are up.

153. Good if you're riding a TT with a lot of "up" at Nats.

Strangely enough, I actually hit my target weight of 145 this week past - after I had given up on ever reaching it. It's kinda useless now that the season is over but good to know it's achievable.

back up over 200.. hovering around 204-205 after breaking my collar bone and being lazy

time to get back on track and focus on next season and coming in leaner and stronger

Started eating healthier and riding regularly so the weight should come off

Hi, down to 150 lbs. Crashing and breaking your face has some benefits.

190.0 this morning. Heading in the right direction, but still chubbers. I still have several sets of pants that don't fit.

alright, i need to get back on track with this. The entire forum stopped the tracking toward the beginning of race season, which is understandable given you shouldn't be cutting weight while racing. Well, since i'll be doing the equivalent of cat3/4 races when collegiate racing starts, i better cut my weight down. Got a few months to work with before i hit the Next Step FTP program.

So here i go:

Race weight last year: 69.5kg, March - April
Min weight this year: 68.5kg, end of June
Weight now: 70.5kg
Target weight: 67kg

7 pounds is nothing. Some small diet changes and consistent workouts will fix that right up.

I had the cross bike fitted last night. My fitter uses motion analysis as part of the process. He was digging through the old files looking for the video from my road bike fit last December to use it for reference. He went right by the preview of my file twice without knowing it. I got off the bike to help him out, and pointed out the correct file to him.

"I saw that one but I didn't think that could possibly be you. Did you lose some weight?"

I should also mention that i better shed some deadweight before the autumn ride in CT (is there a better time to ride in New England than autumn?) Should some weight drop be achieved, i'll attack & dangle OTF so i can get to NH first & gorge myself
