Road Racing in/around NC
Not seeing much on BikeReg other than some Gran Fondos in the mountains - is there another site or am I missing something?

Not from NC, (there are people from there on this forum though). Check out this website, looks like they use USAC for registration. CCA Race and Event Calendar

Road races are expensive to put on.
Most of the road races for the year have already happened, and the calendar is pretty light.
Give the MAC series a try. It's more of a circuit race than a crit.

I think the Orr road series in the Charlotte area is considered a good weekly night series too. You might want to look at this website to find nearby races:

Rockhill has a 1.2 mile circuit closed course they do races on every thursday evening and every other weekend. it is about 1/4 of a mile from the velodrome.
