Somebody sells one now.
For all your grand tour apperances, you can now attach your number plate to your rear brake.

We use reflector mounts. Give it a twists and viola - a number plate holder.
Oh wait...you were being sarcastic.
Nevermind.

That won't help attach a number plate to a seatpost.
With smaller riders and compact frames number plates are sometime an issue.
When I worked in a shop we had a box of reflector and rack mount hardware. I could always whip up a number plate mount from there.

^^funny. I just couldn't visualize that.
My legs would obscure it.
They're really weird about race numbers here. I don't think that would fly.

I see a lot of hate for this thing below. I agree, there are simpler ways to attach a number that are much cheaper........but I am still buying one because it looks pro.

I've had to use them for some events that require them and have never had a problem. On the TT bike I tape them under the top tube in the front corner. It most definitely obscures it, but the race bibles all allow that positioning.
