Tri suit for TT

Is there a rule against wearing tri suits in TTs other than "they're all going to laugh at you?"

From the rules.

Important Rule Changes for 2011

...

1N5. Sleeveless jerseys may now be worn in individual TT
events in domestic races

...

The laughing should really be enough of a deterrent though.

Thanks Waterrockets. I never would have found that. I only participate in one TT a year and cannot justify a dedicated skinsuit; however if I have a tri suit, it seems to make sense to wear that instead of a baggy jersey. I have been unable to find a jersey that fits as closely as my tri suit.

I will wear my compression calf sleves to draw attention away from my tri suit.

You might as well throw a huge double bottle cage behind the seat and a bento box on the top tube. I didn't even use either of those in my IM (or compression sleeves) but I see people out on easy recovery rides with all that and more.

Here in San Diego there's way more Tri folk than TT ones so Tri suits are common. GL

+1 to tri suit over any kind of jersey. The clothes make a huge aero difference.

Confused? Not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing. I figure it's a wind tunnel, but I do not see any difference.

This test is invalid without a number drawn on your arm.

So it's cool for me to marker my number on my calf instead of wearing the pin-on number. Crap!!! What am I supposed to do about my compression calf sleeves.

P.S. I still don't get the picture other than the guy on the right looks faster.

There's nothing to "get." I participated in a clothing test John Cobb did at the wind tunnel in which the purpose of the test was to determine if a Tri-Suit could be as fast as some skin suits. Sorry for the confusion.
