Getting ready to go for a hike above Zermatt. It's sunny and about 20 degrees C.

Wanted to rent a mountain bike, but most everything around where I'm staying is more suited for downhill, which I'm not really into.

Kinda

I told her I talked to one of my attendings about it, but the reality is that funding is going to be really difficult to secure so I might just go for a summer. I'm leaning in that direction anyway given that I'll be applying to schools around then. I don't want to think that far ahead regarding girl because I have no idea what's going to be going on then and if the Ethiopia stuff works then it'd be incredible for my career. However, if it looks like I'll be walking away from something I regret, I would consider going for just the summer.

It's too early for anything. Time will tell.

Edit: The fact that this has already crossed my mind scares the crap out of me...

And I'm not saying that this is going to be 'it'. That'd be stupid. I know the path I've picked for myself and the ~10 or so 'hellish' years that I'm still in for. I've always kind-of let things happen. But I've been looking so far into the future at one goal for so long (i.e. 10 years from now) that I just dismissed everything else as temporary.

I guess this is a conversation I need to have in person with my mom or a couple of mentor-esque friends...

Me - “When is your flight?” Thinking I was going to drive her to the airport in Greensboro – 15 minutes away.
Wife - “11:00am. I have to leave at 7:00.”
Me – “4 hours early?”
Wife - “I’m leaving from Charlotte. The flight is cheaper.”
Me - “You’re driving almost 2 hours to leave your car in long term parking for over a week to save $100 on a flight?”
Wife – “I didn’t think about it that way.”

Last night.

*ring, ring*

Wife – “You’re not going to believe this... I left my car keys in Las Vegas.”
Me – Driving to Charlotte.

I've already accused of dumping her purse out to find something to put in the g-string of a male stripper.

I'm gonna tell

If the TT goes uphill I have jerseys you can borrow/have (VOmax - I only have a few of the Hincapies). If you want to wear a skinsuit wear the Hopkins. Up to you.

I can bring extras to the Rent for you.

*edit* I'll just bring a few extras regardless.

what I mean is, if no one on your team (teams?) cares, why would anyone else?

Im not trying to be dicky, maybe Im missing something...very possible. Im assuming you would only be concerned about what your team thinks about it.

Technically you would be in violation of the rules. Something to the effect of not being identifiable as belonging to the team you are representing or racing for on that day. Usually overlooked at TT's because it is not a team endeavor.

The rule has more to do with someone racing in a plain kit instead of their team kit and not being able to be identified by the field as working with that team.
