Standing start sprints last night, chain popped off, smashed knee into handlebars. Decided to go home.
On the way back, the front passenger in an expedition decided they didn't need their coke anymore and poured it out the window as they drove by. New 5 min record, bleeding knee and all. Ride pretty good when I'm pissed it turns out.

going from a 110 to a 130 stem made my lower back very happy.
people often look at my bike (14cm HT, 130mm slammed stem) and say "dude, how the hell can you ride like that?"
but its actually very comfortable for me. And the faster I ride it the better it is (shut up rkwaki).

I can't believe I missed this reference...

Making a kilometer blurry
When I got the Madone, I noticed I could carry full coasting speed through these curves, and the bike would stay glued to the road.
Then, when I got my Fuji, it resists enough twist under power that I can now take these same curves at 400W, and not chatter off my line.
As far as ride comfort, and back issues... I agree with Hida that tire pressure is going to make a bigger difference than just about anything. There's a 2-man TTT in this area on some really rough chip-seal roads. My partner one year was complaining that his TT bike was beating him up, so we let 15psi out of his tires, and it was like a dream. If you're getting a lot of road vibrations, it's actually more efficient to lose some tire pressure to avoid all those little 3mm climbs and descents every centimeter you ride.

Im going to try and set a good example for folks. The plan is to quit the board until I'm actually a cyclist again

That's what I've been up to. I've still been training every day and racing 2-3 times a week, but since I'm not racing-racing I'm not feeling like much of a racer this year.

You might be surprised how low you can go with 23's. I bet you can run 75-80 psi and have no problem at all. Eventually, you'll start getting pinch flats, but you've got to be very soft on TP's to get there.

In April I went riding with an acquaintance from out of town. He's the same height as me, so I just lent him my spare bike. I run a pretty conventional fit. He got on and had to lower the seat...several times. By the time he was done, he was at basically no saddle/bar drop, but his leg extension looked about right and he was happy. I thought to myself, "This guy needs a CDR frame." I've never seen someone with such a pronounced leg/torso length difference, but take heart, CDR, you're not the only one.

A lot of it has to do with rider/bike weight. If some of us were to run that pressure, we'd pinch flat getting on the bike.
