Puking blood just so she can ride her bike. Badass. To the extreme.

Good luck with the healing GA.

Relatively okay now, lots of drugs, should be back on the bike in about a week.
Glad to hear that's over and you're ok. All the best for a speedy recovery!

Yeah, definitely not the best thing I've ever felt--the drs were trying really hard to avoid it, but oh well. Hoping that part is all behind me now.

Thanks for all the well-wishes everyone.

Broke a spoke on my Ksryium rear wheel last night. Snapped right at the nipple and I have a feeling it may be a real
hassle/expense to get fixed. I won't be too sad, I've certainly gotten my money out of those wheels.

I trashed a Ksyrium spoke a couple years ago. My LBS had replacements in stock. Cost about $5 for the spoke and them to fix the wheel.

I commented to my mechanic about how I had always heard that no shops stock those spokes, they cost a ton and take forever to get. His response was that Ksyriums are among the most popular wheels out there and a good shop should be stocking them as a result.

Good luck on the recovery GA.

Did you opt for the 80 year old chain smoking blues-man voice or did you decide to keep your own?

went suit shopping now that i'm applying for jobs and couldn't really find anything. My criteria were: solid dark grey/charcoal, half-canvassed, size 38, and something less than $400. Found one that fit all four, except the suit looked ridiculously boxy on me.

oh the indignities, i might have to spend $160 or so to get a fused suit that fits. Either that or i have to get a navy colored suit, which i don't like as much as charcoal/dark grey.

who knew that being in shape (actually far from it) means you get penalized when shopping for cloth [/feigned indignity]

OTOH, got myself a pair of these. Hopefully i'll wear them for the next 30 years

I didn't change the thread title. I'd like to voice my displeasure that it was changed.

I'm in a planning meeting. A bit physically uncomfortable. Deciding, in part, my career trajectory within this organization. So a bit more vulnerable than usual perhaps.
