Base miles for crits

I was wondering if base training and long base miles were just as important for those who just focused on crits as they are for longer endurance racers, and if so are they done any different?

While I am asking might as well ask if anyone knows of any short cuts to building an aero base for those who have time constraints.

Thanks

from what I understand, the purpose of base training is to prepare your body for build. more base = more build. if you take advantage of your base training, it is just as useful for crits as for road races.

good luck finding "short cuts"

The word shirt cut sounds bad, I know. What I am looking for is a alternative way of building a decent base on shorter training sessions. Obviously it will be inferior to a proper base training but beggars can't be choosers. What my schedule allows is 3 to 4 training days of 45min to 1.5 hours each.

Yes.

Ride as much as you can, and the rest will (hopefully!) come together.
