Road Cycling Citizen Events
I am searching for good Road bike racing events. That are more for anyone, citizen that are in Canada and USA.
The type that attract many many people from all over. Like Mt bike events do.
I want to do a large popular road bike event somewhere in Canada or USA.
What are the ones that attract large groups of people?
Anyone know of any in Minnesota or Ontario.
thanks

Are you looking for actual races? Or just organized events (aka: centuries)?
If races, any National Calendar races will be very popular and quite the Event. But these are limited by maximum field size limits. I don't think I've ever heard of any races with a max field size greater than 200. Criteriums are usually smaller than that.
If centuries, we can provide an extensive list of centuries with 1000s of riders.

We have a few "Gran Fondos" in the US, but we have many many more of "rallies" or "charity benefit" rides.
Here's a calendar for Minnesota:

El Tour de Tucson: 9,000 riders; chip timed; as fast as you want it to be; and you 'get' to carry your bike through a couple of washes. ;-)
