I'm also interested. Even at Costco, my favored cartridges are ridiculously expensive.

shaving is overrated.

on your face, it's just demeaning.

elsewhere, hair is a natural lubricant.

Probably the lack of hypodermic needles that gave it away.

It's great. Zero hassle, on-time shipping, and cheap as hell. Blades are just as good as the mach3 I used to use and way cheaper. I opted for their "4x" blade. I haven't yet run into a situation where my blades go dull before a new shipment arrives (fair warning: I don't have my face, just my legs ~1.5/wk avg and sometimes I give the back of my neck a trim). I like the open back design on the 4x. Super easy to clean out.

If you're interested in signing up, let me give you a referral link so I get a free month's shipment :p

*I should also note, they do a NQA return if you don't like it.

Wife just picked up my new EVOC bike bag. This will be make traveling by air so much easier! The hard cases are safe for sure, but their weight and size makes packing a bit of a chore...

tetonrider 08-15-13 12:14 PM

did united make a change in the past few months? making a trip to the motherland and saw this here:

"If the bicycle(s) are packed in a container that is less than 50 pounds (23kg) and 62 (158 cm) total linear inches (L + W + H), there is no bicycle service charge, but, if applicable, the first or second checked baggage service charge applies."

i could be wrong but don't recall seeing any exceptions made for bags under a certain dimension. of course, they also say that your bike is covered for damage if it is in a hard case or a cardboard box (but not a soft case as mine is).

("United is not liable for damage to bicycles that do not have the handlebars fixed sideways and pedals removed, handlebars and pedals encased in plastic foam or similar material, or bicycles not contained in a cardboard containers or hard-sided cases.")

Edit: Face-palm---158 CENTIMETERS...not inches. d'oh!

I've heard that if you tell them it's a trade show display they won't charge you the fee. I'll be giving this a try in a couple months. Maybe if I show some leg they will be more lenient

i think the point is that you may not have to lie.

my bag is definitely well under those dimensions. pretty psyched as i thought i might be on the hook for some serious fees.

Say "Hi" to my brother if you see him. He hooked us up with some good snorkeling on Oahu

i'm an idiot. fixated mistakenly on the 158 number, which is of course [I]centimeters, not inches.[/i[bike fees, of course, apply.

The 158 cm (62 inches) is the exact size of an S&S coupler case. So, under United's rule a bike with S&S couplers isn't subject to the charge.

I've flown repeatedly with my S&S coupler bike in a case , that is about 35lbs, and 62". No charges so far, but I'm always thinking someone is going to ask if it's a bike, and try to charge for it.

I had bought a bunch of cheap ties on ebay earlier and realized recently that they're all polyester and also shiny as heck. Some of the solid ones are cool, but some of the plaid ones are a little too tacky even for me. I'll probably hold onto those and wear them here and there, but for the next purchase (ebay or not) I'll make sure that they're not the super shiny satin-esque poly ones if that's what they are.

As for shaving, I'm interested in dollar shave club. I bought a bunch of blades by a company that's not gilette (I forget the brand name...) that seem to last me 3-4 weeks. I can probably get more use out of them, but I have so many that I'd prefer not to get nicked all the damn time.

I had a straight blade to the back of my neck once. Felt realllll funny. Not sure I'd want it done for my face. I might try it once. A local place has cut and shave special. It's an awesome mens barbershop!

Jackthreads.com has cheap ties some times. Also, if you don't order from them for awhile, they send you "30% off your entire order" codes.

I think I'm going to stick with what I have for now unless I see some cool stuff online and build up a collection by finding cheap ones at thrift stores and flea markets. I have atleast 8-10 neck ties and should have 5-8 bow ties that are not gaudy while still having character. Heh.

All this from the idiot that wore shorts to work on the first day right after graduation. Oh how things change.

If you want cheap, ugly ties, just get them at the dry cleaners. Every one I've ever been to has a rack of $5 ties.
