Not the way I had expected to start the New Year. Currently being wiped by out some virus/flu thing...Spent the night before making steady trips to the toilet and now am just plain dead tired...

With last week's vacation added in, I'll be close to two weeks off the bike by the time I get going again. I'm sensing the first few days are going to really suck!

shovelhd 01-03-13 06:37 AM

Get well. Don't worry about the fitness.

Yeah, join the club. More like a month for me, so I'll be in shape around September. Get well.

This is giving me an opportunity to catch up on my TV watching...

Tired from 4 days in a row of riding (and the last day I could only manage 30 min before I climbed off the bike). Instead of riding I renewed my racing license and Carpe Diem Racing's club account (to promote races). I don't want to jinx myself so I'm not starting work on Bethel until I hear the meeting went well. The meeting was this past evening. I hope to have USAC permit stuff filed over the weekend. If I can get that done then BikeReg will go live in a few weeks, maybe Feb 1.

Wrong thread.

Tell me about your bowel movements. Or little Aki's.

I totally get that what I'm about to say is the wrong forum, but the tea party express are full of idiots.

Sorry, had to let that out.

We spent Xmas week with my wife's family. Every once in a while I'd be caught off guard by the casual racism and xenophobia of some of her elderly, tea party sympathizer relatives.

I actually made it through four days at my parent's house without my mother going off on some crazy political rant. She started to go off on something about guns, but everyone started shouting at her and she stopped. It was the first time that has actually happened.

I got the job offer letter, signed it and faxed it back, so I guess it's official !
Time to start packing.

Yeah, I'm telling myself this now. Sick with a fever yesterday and first half of today. Feeling much better right now though...

Yup, can't wait. Now I'm trying to document everything I do to hand off to the suckers that will be stuck doing all my stuff. And there are a few unfinished things I really should get done.

We had some total blowouts to end all blowouts. Meaning Junior, not me :) I realized that in 16 years he'll Google (or rather, his friends will Google) and find stuff and be embarrassed. So I decided to stop posting about his blowouts, including 3 wardrobe changes in 90 minutes (and we're using diapers rated 22+ lbs for a 19-20 lbs kid).

He's getting a tooth, almost. Front 4 teeth visible in his gum. Crawls everywhere. Wants to examine every new detail of everything he sees. No fear. Stands without support sometimes without realizing it. Starting to have opinions. And he's not yet 10 months old.

He's just amazing, I just love him like crazy.

gsteinb 01-03-13 05:57 PM

2 months from today.

rbart4506 01-03-13 05:59 PM

Means 2 weeks before the permitting process becomes really, really difficult.
