There's another video kicking around on fb of the same crash from a different angle. "INSIDE!!!" -- someone dive bombed the inside corner and took the guy with the camera from the first video out from the side.

Incidentally, I took the leader's jersey from my teammate. We're sitting 1,2 in the series now.

Note the rider on the left bombing the turn about 10mph faster than the guy with the camera... but he doesn't make it in time. Not my comments on the video.

Hey, are any of you using any of the cloud based "ITSSM / ITSM" (helpdesk/trouble ticket) packages?

We're-the company is-in the process of switching from Remedy. I'm involved in it because my dept is internal BI and we read the back end via ETL to our data warehouse for reporting.

No one likes it. No one liked Remedy for that matter either.

Like Jira or Spiceworks ?
We used the free web version of Spiceworks at my last place. It was fine for basic tickets.
We just upgraded to the new version of Jira but I have not logged in to look at it yet.

Friday a guy bought a 2013 Hybrid Tahoe, around $60k, and yesterday it came back with some warning lights on. It seems every once in a while some of the 30 on board computers stop talking to each other. I called the tech help line and they said "good luck with that". fml

Remedy's been a disaster for our campus. Unfortunately, it looks like we're extending the license for another year while we evaluate all ITSM offerings. Meanwhile, I've got service groups in our college clamoring for some sort of ticketing system so I'm about to start looking to going off-prem for a summer implementation. We can re-join the campus solution when they get serious.

Yes. Pro's/Con's of spiceworks based on real experience (and not Gartner fud) would be nice to hear.

Thanks,

Ken

I found Spiceworks to be a resource hog. I don't need ticketing, I need monitoring and alerting. We are trying Zenoss now.

This is what worries me about newer cars. Engines, transmissions, and all the mechanical parts are getting better and better and lasting longer and longer. But all these computers and electronics are going to be the problem. You've probably already started to see this.

Is eBay/Amazon still likely the best source for NOS pre-2012 SRAM RD's? My fiancee went down in an unrelated wreck Saturday, and ripped her cage apart. Went by the shop, but all their reps had listed were the new versions of SRAM red, which are obviously at least $100 more expensive. I've found some listings as low as $218, but don't know what the market has for this.

The 2011 VW tdi I just traded would open the RR window on its own sometimes, change from sirius to FM radio without touching it, the voice thing would scream "SAY A COMMAND!" at random, it had an annoying vibration on the highway, would switch from ac to full blast heat and back in the summer and would inevitably be in the middle of a DPF regen when I was pulling in the driveway.

My first and last Mexican-German car.

Maybe keep an eye out on Slowtwitch. May take a while to find one though, not sure if anyone has some for sale at the moment.

The only issue I have with my truck, knock on wood, is that after 11 years, the foam in the drivers seat has kind of worn out, making it a bit uncomfortable.

I hadn't really noticed until a few months ago when my back started aching in the car a lot. Then my wife drove my truck last weekend, and she commented on how uncomfortable the seat was.

I can say that I liked it, but was not a heavy user and did not need a lot of features, so can't compare it to anything else. We used it mainly for tracking tasks. Enter a task, update as it progresses, and close it when finished. And I assume there was another version with more features. Can you download a demo ?

Thanks for those- I'm hoping though that I can find a NOS one. Unfortunately, my OCD nature makes me very skeptical of used gear, especially when I'm putting it on her bike. She's had a hell of a time with some of her equipment, and I'm trying to eliminate variables to get everything right.
