and WR: i have specialized (i want a venge oh la la), ridley (i don't want to go down this route again, warranty **** has been terrible), bmc (the new aro bike looks cool, and so does the slr01), and bianchi (i don't know anything about these).
The BMC TMR01 looks like it's aligned with what I want in a bike -- strength is more important than weight. Bianchi Sempre looks like it's along those lines as well.

Of the brands you mention though, I've heard the most good things about a Ridley Noah...

Maybe pull an SST of ebay. You'll never get rkwaki off your tail though.

In other news, I cannot stand reading the marketing bull**** from the bike manufacturers. These claims of "increased efficiency" from some frame stiffness metric, and getting the most power to the road. Show me your farking tests or stfu. I'm so sick of those lies.

If it's the Praxis, it's going to fix your problem for good. Everybody I know that uses one has had no issues.

WR: yeah the tmr01 looks ****ing awesome, and someone has one on my team right now, and he says it's great. The noah is probbaly great and all, but i've had too many issues to care (i think im just cursed). After the second warrenty issue in under a year i was kind of put off by it. It's fast and stiff and cool, but it's just a bike, the 1000 allez is just as fast (well the aero might help with 1% or some silly thing like that).

Shovel: I think that's what it is. I'm hoping it fixes this, because i've had this bb problem for way to long. 500 watts to go 10 mph up a hill that's only 10% is silly, and damn near 400 watts to go 25 mph is crazy slow. I'm excited to have a dragless bb for the first time in forever.

Our shop carries the same brands. Alot of the local teams have been giving praise to the specialized venge and tarmac. We don't see many BMCs but I haven't heard any complaints and the marketing on their new teammachine certainly has me drinking the koolaid. I don't have enough miles on my new Tarmac to really say anything. Timemachine looks SWEEET and that is really what counts

I do like BMC but cracked two frames in ~5000 miles. One in 8 places (all 3 tubes) and one in the joint of the rear triangle. Both were replaced.

Legs, "We're a little stiff but overall, OK"

Back, "I'm kinda the same"

Heart, "I'm running about 20 BPM slow, can we just keep it in the small ring today?"

Rest of body in unison, "I'm good with that."

1:15 today, mostly Z3 with some efforts. Last week was sort of an accidental rest week, I hadn't ridden since Thursday. Legs felt great. Throw in a delightful few minutes where the sun was out but rain was pouring down on me, and then an awesome rainbow, and it was a great ride. A nice reminder of what it's all about.

Midweek races are back, so back to tuning up for state RR and big crit the day after. Exciting! I hope I don't get dropped this week!

6x1x5 today. Manged to increase power through the set (started "easy"). I maintained 70% on the 5' recoveries too. That first 30 seconds of recovery is almost as bad as the last 30 seconds of work.

I'm souped to finally be able to race track again tmrrw night... It'll be fun.

I'm coming off a rest week so I think I'll do an hour of spirited z2 with a small amount of jumps to wake things up a bit

Today was ride day. It's been POURING since last night and still is... the stream looks like a raging river, and it's about 55 F out. Not cold, unless you are drenched. I went to take the dog for a hike and decided "this isn't so bad." So headed out for 3 25' intervals up my local hill.

Finally broke through and did 3x25 @ a new PR for power by about 5% on this set of intervals, with numb feet, at least towards the end, power tap stopped reading after 20 minutes on the 3rd interval ,but I had it. Hopefully it is the cervo - the same cervo, but different hub also stopped reading on Sunday during a race.

3 hours of hard riding last night. First hour was various length intervals deep in zone 5 (I almost threw in the towel after this, my interval fitness really took a hit with the time off the bike). Recovered in zone 2 for about 30 minutes, then back into solid zone 3/4 for the rest of the ride.

Takeaways: endurance fitness is still there, interval fitness is not. Which means: lots of interval work to do for the next 4 weeks; starting with pyramids tomorrow morning. Going to have to skip Burlingame crit because I have a wedding to attend, but I'll be signing up for Watsonville and Red Kite.

Hit a new 20 min power number last week just shy of 270w, adjusted my FTP accordingly to 255 for training

Did my first set of 3x20's @ 95% FTP yesterday, and yea they hurt about as much as I expected.

Just under 12 hours last week, feeling tired but fit. Recovery day today

Jandro are you doing the Tri-Valley Crit this weekend?

Tuesday Night Worlds. The real hot weather has just arrived this week, so that was tough. Starting to get some glimpses of form, maybe. Better test of that tomorrow evening.
