Making a kilometer blurry
This is a short climb too, by most standards, and the 20% bit is maybe 25m. There's a longer section of about 15% though, couple hundred meters maybe.
Short as it is, the 20% bit is what my legs remember.

I don't know what I was expecting, but when I'm on good form, I'm around 4.2 w/kg. I came in at 3.65 today. I haven't tested that low in a long time. When I look at the last 2 months, though, there's been very little intensity. Like I've said, between work travel and the injury, I've been off the bike a bunch.
Right now my best guess is Balboa park but it is so busy there that I would rather avoid it if I can, otherwise I dont know of a flat'ish 20min loop I can do.
3.65W/kg isn't bad tho!

I've got 6600 on the CAAD9, and when I use my Powertap wheelset on it (32 spoke Open Pros) I'm pretty close. The bike with 7800 is a 2012 Allez E5 frameset, the PT wheelset stays on it most of the time. The Allez is the only non-68mm BSC bike I have.

2:15 of a mixed bag.
First day back on the bike, went out with the club, things got fast and I got dropped. Turned around and z2'd home. At least I caught a really great sunrise.

ZCI™s with another 17W of improvement from Monday, bringing the work intervals up over 3.7W/kg. Very happy with the progress.
2.5 weeks ago, I failed with a 275W target, and today nailed over 320W.

love this bike.
P.S. Oh and that totally IS a TEM image of monodisperse 100nm silica nanoparticles that I made on that poster around the corner. I knew you must be dying to know!

Flatted 12 miles into my ride and spare had a leak. Since I was on a trail in the middle of nowhere, put my bike over my shoulder cyclocross style, took off my shoes and ran /walked 2 miles. Eventually someone stopped and gave me a tube, of course this was after a a paceline blew past me and screamed, "Everything okay?" Since none of them looked back they didn't hear the 'NO'.
Still beats sitting on the couch!

Last threshold workout for this block. SST tomorrow, then rest next week (perfect, as I'm traveling to Charleston for the week).
