2.5 hrs yesterday. Basically a recovery ride post surgery but aside from my legs being rusty I was really pleased with my improved breathing. New experience with a cager, I have experienced everything from a bullhorn to gunning it right next to me but yesterday was the first time one actually chucked a full water bottle at me. Glad he missed because it was cold out and would have hurt.

1;20 on the trainer the other day. 30 minutes spinning then 3x10 minutes low cadence 90% FTP. That put a little burn in the muscles.
i love low cadence work, it helps so much, but man my Achilles always is so ****ing sore after doing it for the first time in a long time.
60 minutes of easy spinning.
3:40 solo. Good ride. Hit 3 decent climbs. The legs were good, but my left arm is still junk. Basically road one-handed the entire way. Every time I hit even a small bump it was like shanking a ball off an aluminum baseball bat. That part sucked, but getting in a good ride was nice. The CX race this weekend is a no-go. Just can't do it. I tell you, I've got a new appreciation for that guy Joe who rides with Psimet. He must be an absolute freaking animal.
2x20 on the hotel gym exercise bike. This was a bigger mental challenge than physical.
1:30 roughly zone 4 in cold rain. Reminds me I need better booties
45' on the trainer, then 45' out in the hills in some great weather (no cold weather gear needed). I have had to wear arm warmers 3 times this winter though. This climate is nice this time of year...

On my ride this morning. 7am, had been riding for an hour. A little chilly, but damn, what a view. |
2 hour recovery today. Internet back online after moving. Feeling strong again and down to 154 pounds. Tomorrow is the first time I will go out on the fast group ride since being in base mode for a couple of months. That will tell me a lot about my fitness me thinks.
3:45 today with some fast guys. And it didn't even rain!
110 miles. I'm sleepy
2 hours today. Longest ride since the first week of November.

nope, seems about right (fitted, and no pain in the front or back of the knee). I dont really know why, but it always happens the first time i do low cadence work after a long break from it (In this case a month).
That makes sense. It's a lot of stress.
yeah, its funny how much "harder" it is to hold a certain wattage when you're rolling around at 50-60 rpms. It's great training, but man does it hurt!
But it's over quick.
Out in the snow for a little over an hour. Forgot how awful snow feels on the face at speed.
Just finished a 10 x 3 min at 110% FTP ride again, tough but I was very happy with the numbers. Junk was numb at the end of the 1:15 ride, that didn't feel good.. but a quick readjustment fixed everything :thumb:

Is your saddle too high? I've been doing a lot of this kind of work lately and it has affected the chondromalacia in my knees more than anything. It's all good though. A bottle of vodka and a jar of Aleve takes care of everything.

hammy come ride with me!!!
I would...but I have to stay closer to home. Too much to do getting ready to move.
