rest day...quite nice.

Might be stuck in LA over the weekend. Might bring the bike and might jump into a couple of the upgrade crits.

Everyone seems to be on recovery now... I wonder why? Haha.

Anyway, I thought my 2:45 at 150 watts yesterday was low, but I was determined to ride even easier today.
1.5 hours total commute time, Averaged roughly 125 watts. Thats about the power supplied by just dropping my legs on the pedals with no force haha. Anyone know what percent of body weight is in one leg?

Morning group ride today. Forgot to set the alarm but luckily woke up and had 10 minutes to get ready. The entire ride was in the dark but it wasn't too cold. The cold is coming to us this week though.

If I do group rides with the local club, all the coasting amounts to about 150W avg.

Scheduled rest week. Today was supposed to be 1.5 to 2 hours of Z2, but I fixed my washing machine instead this morning. My wife is pleased.

Maybe due to that you might get 15 seconds of Z5 later...

My body is pretty much telling me to take a day off.

Mondays and Tuesdays are the only days I can ride on my lunch break (telecommute) and with daylight so sparse I hate wasting them.

There can be a lot of coasting at the Spectrum ride if you're just sitting in (in the right place that is).

Not continuous coasting, but a lot of pedal-coast-coast-pedal type stuff.

2x20 @ new sweet spot yesterday
except I felt really fresh the first one and did it at 250 even though my target was 240
but then i was less enthused about the second one and came in at 240

also ran a couple miles on the treadmill and did some shoulder rehab exercises

2hrs, 30min tempo and 2x10min Steady State efforts. Adjusted my wattage based on my latest 8min test and CTS zones. Steady State was too high I think. I hit the numbers, but HR was too high.

I'm doing them again on Thursday, so I'll see how those go....
