That's for sure, Sunday sucked, although the bad weather forced me to finally watch some football.

Actually rode down into Waltham on Trapelo Rd, I usually don't go down that way, I forget how close I am sometimes

I broke my big toe Sunday. Walking is a little tough but I'm wearing sneakers all week at work for extra cushion. Have any of you guys ridden with a broken toe? I figure with the hard soles it may work. I was hoping to ride this Sunday.

big toe, just tape it and try. if pain is ok you're good. If you can't, you can't.

I'm not sure what I'm looking at except for a foot with abnormally small toes on a nice marble (or is that quartz) countertop.

little toe is pointed up like 45* more than normal. Broken or dislocated (more likely) from kicking the bed post in the middle of the night. There's a hard ridge in the purple spot (not a shadow there).

anyway, it sucks. I can ride better than I can walk though, at least.

5x5' @ 105% on tap tonight.

Noticed last night that my garmin 500 kept dropping out power and cadence from my Lemond revolution last night. Did some research and seems like it could be caused by wifi router or other radio frequency. I ride with wireless headphones so I can hear the TV/Music. I'm starting to wonder if that is what's causing the interference?!?!

Does anyone change up their training in the winter?

Since I work during the day, I have to ride at night, and am fairly selective about the roads I choose. There are plenty of night routes with elevation (3-8% grades) but not so many that are flat. I've been looking for a loop where I can just hammer away at 20-30 mph that's close to home but its been difficult to find.

Now that the sun comes up earlier, I started riding in the morning before work.

Getting up early sucks, but I hate riding in the dark even more.

It hasn't changed significantly. I still use my ride into work as my main training set. The backpack can be annoying but you get used to it.

What time do you go to work? I went to the gym for an hour today and it was dark on the way in and getting light as I drove to the office. Stupid NW

My back is hurting less and less each ride so today is the first time I got on the throttle since my accident in July (only fourth ride since coming back).

759 watts is a pretty measly max lol. This weekend I ride lots.

In the winter I usually stop doing the morning groups because getting up at 4am in the summer when the sun is almost coming up is fine, but in the winter when it's dark and cold? eff that noise. Lots of solo base miles for me from November to January for me typically.

same here.

We actually have pretty similar training habits, based upon what you have been posting this season.

I am about to start base2 next week, which puts me a week behind you. I am also currently doing mainly z2 and tempo riding, 2-4hrs in duration. My goals is to upgrade to cat2 next year, by placing well in cat3 criteriums.

In other news, I am looking forward to my second (ever) threshold power test tomorrow morning. I'm excited to get a bigger value than last time.

I get in late. Like 10:30-11 these days.

But it works b/c I don't have lots of meetings, and it's not a typical 9-5 kinda place. As long as you get your **** done nobody cares too much when you come or go.

Sweet, sounds like we'll be peaking around the same time - just in time for San Dimas right?? Hope to see ya there.
