I'm dense.
Seriously, though, except 2010 and right now, I'm usually 170-180. In 2003 I was 215, after not riding much 2000-2003, hovered in the 185-200 until late 2009. I went over 160 for the first time around Y2k, aka Jan 2000. Used to be in the low 100s, ilk 103-112 lbs (17-21 years old). I could still sprint, I still climbed like a Mac truck.
Right now 160, in 2010 I was 155 or so, so those are light numbers for me.

Hmmm...gave me something to shoot for next time I have to get on zwift. I was doing some intervals holding 240-245 watts per lap (about 8.5 - 8.75 minutes). I may have to see if I can match you for 5 minutes just for the fun of it.
Though I can't run them at the same time, I'm finding that it seems that the power output on my Kickr on Zwift feels relatively close to my Powertap outside. While they may not line up perfectly, the power readings seem to translate pretty well. I suppose maybe if there is a little boost on the Kickr's readings (which I have heard with some folks) it could be offset by my typical lower power output I get inside. Whatever it is, it seems to work. It's nice to be able to hop from outside to inside and have reasonably consistent numbers to work with.

He's only a little above my weight, unfortunately.

Don't feel bad CDR... I think I'm in that same VO2 max study as you... I did 274 5/min as well... but it was on my vector which read lower then my kickr..sometimes 20w after the kickr is warmed up.... but I've heavier @ 178

(Of course it makes some claims a friend of mine made a bit suspect. He quickly claimed the green and polka dot jerseys while on a Kickr, this being a while back when the Kickr issue was presumably still there.)
I should log some of my power discrepancies on the Zwift forum. I'm still seeing 30w loss (100w SRM vs 70w Zwift) at lower wattages, 50-60w at my 5 min (280w SRM vs 220w Zwift), and about 100-150w in a sprint (1100w SRM vs 950w Zwift). I'm pretty sure that my SRM is about right, else my actual wattages are lower than imaginable.

I pushed off the 5 min test until yesterday, I tried to do it Fri but I was obviously still sick.
Between the study and Zwift I'm riding harder than ever on the trainer. I never do structured training so this has been interesting. I also never felt compelled/obligated to finish an effort for someone else. For me, I don't care, so I'll sit up 20 seconds into a 20 min effort. For someone else, I'll grovel until the last second of a 5 min effort.

yes vector has a lag in reading... they are pretty much dead on (vector/kickr) on the warm up.. but once the kickr has been going for awhile... 20w higher on the kickr vs both my vector and stages meters. Back when I had a power tap.., I always felt kickr was close to the way the power tap felt, but I also used to be able to adjust the actual slope calibration on the kickr...the ended that nice app awhile ago. I have used the Calibration kit wahoo sells though, but that's not the same thing as I was once able to do.

I poked around the Zwift support posts and apparently they've been dialing back the Kickr over-power-reading. A teammate actually said that for once he thought that all the numbers out there looked reasonable. I can't testify to the mid 50 second KOM but the green jersey sprint apparently should be in the mid 7s?? I'm missing 100-150w but I haven't broken into the 7s, best is like 8.06 or something, and 8.1-8.3 is somewhat normal.

2x8 @ 110%, 1x4 @ 120%, 1x10 @ 105%. Because that's what the hills were.
Right after the first 8 minute interval I stopped at a porta-john and stepping out of the thing both calves went super-crampy. I hardly ever cramp. I drank a lot of beer and bourbon over the weekend, including last night, and not enough water maybe. The cramps were only debilitating for a couple of minutes, and they didn't really impede the rest of the workout, but the calves are still a little twangy now, a few hours later. I don't care for cramps.

I'm a fan so maybe 530w is high but I think I'm not far off base. I was doing 245w 5-7 min intervals then did a 270w 5 min max effort, so 10% higher on my max effort. Slightly under 500w + 10% gets 530w pretty handily. He is probably more optimized than me so maybe that's high, but then again, I'm speculating.

The Kickr power problems are not a Zwift issue. they are a belt tension issue. there is a gigantic ST thread on it at the moment and Wahoo have sort of clammed up. It's not hard to figure out that having a rubber belt at a specific tension determining the measured power from a device is going to have issues.

Took Sunday off for the first time in a while. Felt pretty bad to not be riding all day or racing haha. Another day off today, and another tomorrow. 3 days might be all I can handle.

3 days is good. More than that and I notice a big dropoff. I was off the bike for 10 days due to a family vacation. First ride back felt like I was using someone else's legs. Someone much weaker.

is it better to do long hard days every other day, or keep a consistent high intensity throughout the week with shorter rides?
and if it depends, don't stop there. what does it depend on?

Your training plan depends on a lot of things. Things your coach can help you plan. Sometimes I do long rides, sometimes short, sometimes sprints. Where I'm at in the build process plays a large role along with what time of year and what I'm trying to do with my weight. Also what races are coming up and when I'm trying to get to good form.

So to beat a dead horse to death. 175 lbs, 490w is max 5 min. That gives 6.16 w/kg.

As opposed to a long downhill climb? Glad to see you're back at it!
