His son was crashed by the blue rider swerving for no reason, but he's blaming the officials for not pulling his son's teammate who was lapped ..... and other people were blaming the kid who crashed for "overlapping" the blue kid's wheel .... what a fun thread !
Because it gives me something to do while I finish up some work.

I happened to catch this crash in a recent crit. I am glad to have avoided it. But, it sparked a debate as to who was at fault.
You have a
What do you think?
*Sorry. Should be "whose" not "who's."
You have a
- lapped rider (Orange Stripe, bigger guy) drifted back as through the middle of the field as he is lapped again
- another rider in blue who swerves to miss him
- another rider (orange stripe, skinnier) who has an overlapped wheel, head down and goes down.
What do you think?

Well, just like a plane crash, there isn't just one thing that is a "contributing" factor to the accident.
First, Mr. Lapped rider, you should be aware that the group is coming up, usually there is a pace motorcycle/car anyway telling you to GTF out of the way. He should have been in the gutter on the opposite side of the road that the group wasn't riding during the race if possible. If the entire road is in use, get in the gutter one side and keep some speed up.
Second, Mr. Blue rider, you are silly and should be paying attention. But, then again, you probably just saw at Paris Roubaix a pro rider looking back sitting on the end of the peloton, then turning around last second to find they split for a median with a sign, and run smack into it sending yourself flying into the air and breaking some bones. So pros do stupid things also and don't pay attention at times.
Luckily the guy that went down due to the two guys who have problems in the group in that video, was OK and wasn't badly injured.

The rider in blue would benefit from reading the clinic notes:
