Finding a Club (North of PGH)

How am I supposed to get connected with a club around here? I have asked at the LBS and not really gotten any concrete leads. Some club websites and such, but no way to contact them or get in touch. Is emailing sponsors a legitimate method to get in contact? I am in the Butler/Lawrence/Beaver area for anyone familiar.

yeah Butler PA! that's where I grew up (but havent lived there since 1994)

google Henry Dimmick at Ag3R - Butler Health System. they have a team and do rides from Cummings Coffee Shop on Main Street in Butler. I rode with them a few years ago when visiting my family. There are also groups that ride out of North Park, but I dont have any leads for you.

Good luck!

Weekly oval racing is the best way to meet teams, hang out, and see what's what. Google ACA racing to see about that, as well as ABRA racing for area stuff. I know there's a few teams hailing from that particular area (Beaver Valley Velo), but I've no idea how active they are at keeping online/contact info up to date.

Also, keep in mind that because the racing scene around here isn't TOO big, don't be afraid to inquire with teams/clubs further out... There's teams with riders from as far as Morgantown WV that have pretty decently sized rosters.
