The end of ICC Superweek???

So there is no longer a web address active for ICC Superweek and no response from their facebook page about racing this summer. Looks like the end of Superweek. Instead the Prairie State Cycling Series has a bunch of races during the time when Superweek is normally taking place.

It's been declining ever since the Tour of America's Dairyland started. ToAD uses some of Superweek's old venues now.

We sure did. Last year was my first Superweek. The difference is last year registration was open, the Superweek web page was up, and Superweek was answering questions about the race.

This year the web page has been discontinued, there is no registration or plans for races anywhere online and Superweek is not responding to questions about this years races on their Facebook page for the last couple months. There's actually a memorial page on Facebook as a tribute to the end of Superweek. I guess te same group that is running TOAD has also scheduled this prairie state cycling series in superweek's usual time slot.

Another difference is last year Superweek forgot to leave money in their account for cashing prize checks.

I will miss SuperWeek, but not the organizers. Had a bounced check from my only top-20 placing there.

100km P/1/2 crits with 160 dudes are no joke. Far and away my highest 1hr, 90min and 120min power measurements.

Have some great memories from SuperWeek back in the late '80s. 100 plus rider junior fields!

Yes, the thread last year caused them to contact me on FB and threaten to sue me.

The Garrisons were really something else.

I was asked not too long ago by an old official to spread the word that anyone who got a bounced check last year or any previous year should contact the DA in Whitefish Bay as they were considering pursuing charges.

SW is dead. Was last year. It was a joke last year and only a small version of what it was.

The void here is large but Marco and crew have stepped in with the Prairie State series. We'll see. Lots of good clubs involved in the illinois dates. Lots of good racers coming this year. Trying to get some pros lined up on my end.

ToAD starts this week. Most are heading there now. Final wheel pickups non-stop right now. There will be good racing.

I was part of the intermediate and junior fields in '84 and '85, I think. Very good times.
