And on Sunday most likely, as will Dave. In the past the 35-39 race was about 10 guys, expecting the same or less this year.
Giro better be the usual! I pre-regd early just to get things going. Hoping to win the p12.. along with a bunch of other fast dudes.

my team was supposed to reg me for both sat and sunday, but seems like they didn't so I just did. We should have 4 or 5 guys for the districts race. Will take 5 if we want to win vs. Matt's teammate or Coble.

108 degrees on Saturday! Yikes. All I have to do to hold my lead is make sure a certain person doesn't ride off the front and take all the primes and the win. That shouldn't be too hard. Then its straight to shoreline to meet my wife and in-laws for a Foreigner concert. My father in law loves that stuff.

Wow pre-reg for Jackson are abysmal!
What do you guys and gals think, venue, location or everyone pretty much called it a day after Giro?

Really I believe that less people are racing because they suck at racing. Said with a little more nuance, at the beginning of the season everyone has big dreams; they either realize them or have them crushed at some point in the season. By the end of the season, many have given up.
So people suck at racing, plus this looks like a hard course. I probably shouldn't even try but I'm dumb enough to try it at least once!

All of the above?

Actually was going to call it a season after Giro, but I had tons of fun on that course (even with all the crashes), so figured will do Jackson and then see how I feel about Oakland.
Need to figure out gear selection. Can I power up it in 50/21 bring out 50/27, or it will be small ring no matter what .

Hmm looking at strava has a short 21% at the beginning?

If water street is fully opened doesn't look that bad of a hairpin.

Well the course is fun, but that hill is brutal. The E 3/4 + M35+ 3/4 field was shattered within three laps.
I thought the hairpin would be the trickiest part, but for me it was the left turn before it. It's in to narrow down hill, and if something goes wrong and you hit the barriers I am pretty sure you would be going over and down a steep hill.
I would do it again, but probably not if it's this late in a season.

Oh great now there is a ten dollar late fee for online registration for week off, and additional ten dollar fee for day off.
So now day off is 60 bucks, and promoters wonder why less people attend their races.

I mean, that's a ****ing burrito! A pricy burrito, but easily the price of a burrito.
You'll turn down glory for the price of a burrito?

It's not the money per say. I can't even explain it, but it just irks me the wrong way.
