How's my fit look?
 

New bike! Can't get fit anywhere professionally until may due to my shop being swamped. Anyways, how do I look in the mean time? Move this thread if necessary sorry, I just try to avoid the 41.

I'm no expert on this stuff, but I'd say you look a bit scrunched up. I'd get a slightly longer stem perhaps.

Second trying a longer stem. What's the stem length currently?

The video wasn't perfectly on the side either, so some of this could be based on the angle, but I still think that you could go longer.

Bike looks small for you. Seat looks low based on your thigh being pretty close to horizontal at the top of the stroke, and a fair bit of bend in the knee at the bottom. Crank length? You have chimp length arms (so do I) and definitely need a longer stem or bars with more bend. Setback on the seat looks decent right now.

Haircut looks like you are an engineer. You have a bike racer tan and upper body, put a jersey on or at least a T shirt. Or start working out.

fit looks good. good extension at the bottom of the stroke and you look comfortable in the drops
ride some and determine how you are feeling. I can never get my fit dialed in unless I get on the road and also really pushing it, like a fast pack ride.
That exposes deficiencies in fit pretty quickly too.

Put the saddle back as far as it will go, and shoot another video.

The eyeball tests really aren't that great. A few weeks ago I thought my fit was great and so did others that looked at it. Paid a boatload of money for a fit that looks too far forward and too high but its perfect when I ride.

You do have quite the literary collection there. With all those works I don't know how you find the time to ride!

any reason for this? it's all the way forwards right now. i really have no clue why i have it their.

this stem is much shorter then was on my cross bike. idk how big it is probably 90mm or so. I have saddle all the way forward so if i moved it back some my reach would be a bit shorter.

thanks can't do a jersey on the trainer though, i think i'd succumb to heat exhaustion

Fitter 1: The light bulb is fine.

are your sitbones being completely supported by the saddle?

Cause you look to scrunched forward. Sit back, enjoy the ride.

You look to far forward on the saddle and your stem is at least 1cm too short. I would drop it down 5mm too. One change at a time. I'd do the saddle first. Back 1cm and up a bit. Then the stem, then drop the stem.

Wouldn't be as accurate as an actual fit machine I'm sure, but may be able to give you some idea of your joint angles and see if they're at least in the usual recommended range
