Tarmac/Venge responsiveness - Looking for feedback from racers
Hey,
Just read something I thought was obnoxious. Claim that Venge and Tarmac are unresponsive wood and that custom Guru is more responsive (the custom elitism is what's glaring through to me).
Still can't get over this, Cavendish riding the unresponsive Venge. WTF?!?!?

Google the new Tarmac - it was just released the other day. The new design is size specific.

I just found it astonishing that Specialized was creating bikes for racers that compared to Guru were unresponsive wood.

Making a kilometer blurry
The difference in lateral stiffness between a Tarmac and a Guru is exactly 41GPa.

ok maybe it's a tad less laterally stiff but the enhanced vertical compliance more than makes up for it so that by the end of a 40 minute parking lot crit, you've saved enough energy to be 10 minutes ahead of the guy on the Guru.
