Last I read, the hearing had not yet been officially closed. Once that happens, they are supposed to provide a decision within 10 days. This is from his web site: www.TylerHamilton.com I'm sure that once a verdict is returned, it will be all over the usual sites.

It is a little bit telling though that they haven't closed the case isn't it? To me it looks like they went into this and Tyler had a chance to prove he was innocent. Had he and his lawyers been able to do that they would have close the case and cleared him. So lets assume they weren't able to go in with proof that he was clean (I know this may be taking a leap but bear with me here), with this extorsion (sp?) issue they also can't really say he is guilty so they leave the case open and are looking for more info on that end.

The longer the case remains open it clearly has to be bad for Tyler right? Not just in the terms of the case but also the time away from racing.

I can't imagine living in limbo the way Tyler is! To keep training full-time, without a decision (or apparantly a date when a decision will be made).

Hopefully he is doing that because he knows in his heart that he is innocent. I'd love to see him vindicated.

I'm guessing that he's raised enough questions that they've had to go re-examine the evidence against him.

I actually got to talk to Tyler last Thursday at his MS Gala...he's training a hell of a lot more than I am (hehe), and is quite determined to get back to racing. Talking with him made it even harder to think that he could be guilty.

Why do you believe he was doping?
Because he was struggling and his season was in the dumper and then all of a sudden he got some good results?

If that's the case, then I suppose you believe that Bobby Julich is doping, too?

And every other rider whose career is in the toilet that suddenly gets good results....

The fact that a verdict wasn't reached seems to indicate there's some doubt about something (pretty vague but not much info available). If I were TH I'd take that as a positive since Pound and the WADA seemed to think the case was slam dunk.

Like many I'd like to believe TH but he's at the point to where the burden of proof has pretty much become his responsibility.

I believe most of the peloton is doping. Hell I believe most D1 athletes in America are doping. Were I am from kids in 8th grade were doing it and that was in the late 70's. Considering the big money that is at stake most of us would probably do it, especially if we were younger.

When the verdict is announced, there will be two reactions from folks on the "Forums"..

1. "The verdict was rigged...no way Tyler ever cheated".

2. "So what...everyone else is cheating, so Tyler was just "getting a level playing field".

We will see rather soon.

Who do I feel sorry for? Somewhere, there is a guy winning races who is totally clean. And, to the day he dies, many folks will think he cheated to win. The cheaters are not just ruining the sport for themselves. They are ruining it for everyone.

Of course there's always the possibility the verdict will be he's innocent.

I saw him out on the road, way out actually last sunday with a smile on his face and in full kit. We both waved and went our opposite ways. Regardless of the outcome I just hope a decision arrives quickly, playing the waiting game would not be fun.

I wonder how many people on here think that Tyler is innocent, but that his teamate who failed only 2 tests is guilty.

Well now there is an excelent point. What is the status of the other guy (forget who it was which shows how much I care about him I suppose)?
