Hospital bill for my crash at North Star is $3130. We'll see how much of that insurance covers.

I looked also and I can't see anything. Right now there's only one skin available, according the User CP/Control Panel. Edit Options, Miscellaneous Options, Forum Skin. It's the second last option on the page.

In the very bottom left there's a style chooser (on this page, not your UserCP). There's two mobiles ones and two Standard ones. The default standard one is much better than that ugly yellow one, but still awful.

Which insurance? If you are looking to make a claim on your USAC insurance, there must been an occurance report filed on you. Nothing happens with USAC insurance until that happens. Contact the CR to be sure. Then you can start working directly with the insurance company. Note that USAC insurance is supplementary if you have primary insurance. It does not pay for deductiblesz or copays, only what direct charges are not paid for by your primary insurer, up to $25k. If you have no primary insurance, then it becomes your primary insurance.

3 days of crits coming up. Im looking forward to them, especially tomorrows race. One of the "easiest" races I did last year..hoping to actually participate instead of just sit in like last year. Ive been racing a lot better this year so whatever happens, happens.
This was last year, 25.2mph with 212ap...which is really low for me in a race.

But there also is a requirement that you file the claim within 30 days of the incident, so if you think you need it CB, start the paperwork now.

I made sure to have the CR give me an occurrence report. So I do have that. The USAC policy looks a little confusing, though. It says a matching deductible of minimum $1000. I've well passed my primary deductible, so that won't apply in this case.
Say that my primary insurance covers $2000 and leaves me with a $1130 bill. What will USAC cover?

I looked into this to cover some of my expenses from the crash at Masters Nationals. (Nowhere near as high as CB's.) It required hitting a $5k deductible first, and I'm not going to hit that. So I didn't bother.

Initially, my own health insurance.

I crashed in 2009. $8k out of pocket, a significant portion of it was lost wages. No USAC insurance coverage on any of the medical stuff.

I don't know how i'm supposed to feel, but it makes me profoundly sad. We as amateurs don't have to go through as much risks as pros, who descend down twisty, -10% ramps on carbon tubulars even when it's raining, but it is another reminder of the risks we expressly or implicitly agree to when we race our bikes.

Sitting at my gate. Waiting to fly back to work. My wife and I both realized pretty quickly that this consulting thing won't work long term. It's just too hard to leave them. Then again, this weekend wasn't exactly fun with the family, we worked on the house and then met the realtor, that's it. Exhausting.
Realtor seemed good, we used him to buy our house. We were basically agreed on the price which is good. Hopefully it moves fast and the family moves up.
Work has been going pretty well. Good people, good work. Going for a ride with my boss this week probably. Maybe don't have to consult past this contract. Pay cut will be tough though.

A possum and a groundhog locked in bloody, desperate battle rolled into the road right in front of me today. It was absolutely terrifying.
