I'm really not liking some of the new cookies and web tracking software some web retailers are using. Last night, I got an email saying, "Hey, here is a discount code that could be worth $15, $30 or $50, type it in to find out how much it's worth."
I went to the retailer's web site, typed in the code to find I only got $15 off, so I closed the window. A minute later I got an email from the retailer saying something appeared to be wrong with my purchase and asking did I need any help.
I will not be shopping there again.

That's good to hear, I'm fine with looking silly if it makes me even slightly faster, it's no more ridiculous than the lycra. The only thing I'm sort of concerned about is ventilation but from what I've heard the vents in the front do a great job of keeping your head cooled down.

Rented a jackhammer, and spent and hour breaking the tile in my foyer. Was going to do a recovery ride, but ended up just spending another 2 hours finishing up. Took so long since I watched the National Title game while resting. The guns aren't what they used to be.

My boss lives in Eastern TIme Zone. He wakes up about 4 am and works from home so his emails/calls starts early.
I have reps that work for me and live in California. The are a couple hours behind me and tend to start later and work late so they call/email late.
Some days it seems that my phone/email go 24 hours a day.

I woke up this morning and looked at the phone just to check the damage, counted 47 calls between 5pm yesterday and 5am today, with some voicemails left around the midnight hour. One number shows 4 missed calls around 11pm, I'm not sure what kind of person thinks it's a good idea to call that late anyway, let alone multiple times (probably thinking if they keep calling someone will answer) and not even leaving a voicemail.
You see, this is why I ride bikes, to keep myself calm enough to not strangle people.

I read that part, figured it was one of those waki/WR references and I tuned out.

I wish I could say that this is the case, I'd have much less of a tough time wrapping my head around the idea that people are calling at such odd times, but alas, they are all local calls.

Rim looks fine, it is relatively new and never went down or dinged any rocks. I had Fusion 3s on it before with no issues. I am thinking of putting a new tire on there to make sure I can seat it and rule out the rim. If that is the case, do I contact Schwalbe and try to get a replacement?
BTW: I love my new Bell Star Pro helmet.

Not that I'm in a position to buy a new helmet any time soon but that helmet is the one I'd want to get.
Did you wear other Bell helmets before? What size? Does the sizing run consistent? etc etc etc.
Currently I have the Gage and the Volt.

If any of you are interested, the giro air attack is on sale for $79 with free shipping on amazon, provided you're okay with white.

I really feel less buffeting from the wind which might speak to the aero benefits. It is comfy and simply disappears when on my head. Here is the caveat though: Inside the helmet there are two small plastic tabs that help hold the padding to the inside. I was really surprised to see that these plastic tabs are not covered over by the padding itself and are located right around the temple area. With a thin head covering, bandana etc., it is a non issue but without it might be annoying. I even thought of sewing a small piece of fabric over the tabs but as it is winter, I always have a cycling cap on so I don't notice it.
I am not sure about consistency in sizing at all as I bought this online, knowing I could return it without a fuss if it didn't work. Another plus for some is that it is a bit more "normal" looking for an aero helmet than say the Air Attack.
As well, I expect to see a lot more offerings in the aero dept. over the next few years, so I thought I'd jump in the game and expect to upgrade in a few years. Personally, I am waiting for an integrated heads up display in the shield. : )

That's likely old cotton wrapped wiring. If you can replace it, it's a very good idea. Don't want your place going up.

I haven't worn Bells before but the medium is slightly smaller than a Giro medium though it still works for me even with a cycling cap underneath. I bought this helmet because of the ability to open and close the vents which is important where I live. Plus, I wanted the integrated shield which I am enjoying a lot. No more having to futz around with my sunglasses anymore.

Dammit now I remember why I never went for pbk's super deals..
So I ordered some crap from them, got an email saying it was "despatched" (I can only hope that means shipped?), but their weird tracking shipping service can't find the shipment over a week later.
How long does pbk stuff generally take? Does the tracking work? I paste in the code and it says "not found".

Check out Merlin Cycles as well. They usually have decent pricing and I've not had any shipping issues with them.
