That blows... but until he pops positive on a drug test, all that stuff is just nonsense to me.

Just read the AP story. I find some of Anderson's claims a little tough to buy, but we'll just have to wait and see. Specifically, I don't believe that if Armstrong had a box or bottle of an androgen like substance, that the box or bottle would be labelled so overtly. I recall a cyclist some while back was busted for doping and his text messages (SMS/cell phone) records were released, and he was very careful in chosing his words when talking with the doctor.

I found it curious that the guy's first thought was to fire up a web browser and check the WADA website --seems like a strange reaction.

Also, why would LA can the guy if he had something on him? Very un-Michael Jacksonlike. You'd think he'd keep this guy in his circle if he had something to hide. Also, Lance sued this guy first.

Not saying it couldn't be true, but it always comes from someone opportunistic is seems

Sounds like a last-ditch effort to either save a failing law suit or try to cause harm. Just seems like too tidy a story.

Oh yeah, well, Lance promised me he'd a a a set me up with a new custom motorcycle chopper shop, yeah that's it. and I found him crashed in his bathroom one night with a needle hanging out of his arm and 3 hookers passed out on the bed. So the way I see it he owe's me his first born and 2 million dollars. Now there, prove me wrong !

Did Lance Dope, after all?

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...x.html?cnn=yes

I'm no Lance Armstrong fan, but I have admired the guy for his accomplishments. All those allegations levelled against him by Europeans these past years may not just be pure speculation, anti-Americanism or Hate-erade after all.

The ahole obviously has no agenda, and I will certainly believe his allegations before I will believe Lance and tons of negative tests. It amazes me how badly people would like to shoot him down. I wouldn't have guessed that you are no Lance Armstrong fan. Any other BS press you would like to share with us - perhaps a little ditty out of the French or Italian press would be appropriate.

I read it in another thread, Its sooo stupid, Its basically anderson has a grudge with armstrong about starting his bike shop and anderson is being a ***** and covering up the fact that hes too scared to ask armstrong about it.

Look, man, this article comes out of one of our own, Sports Illustrated, a bonafied US source. While I admit I'm no fan of Lance Armstrong, this certainly didn't influence who reported it.

There is too much of a grudge feel to it.
It's all hearsay, circumstantial evidence (I saw something
that looked like EPT or Something like that (it was Cheryls!))
no direct evidence.
will be interesting what comes out of this one.

It's an AP wire report most likely sourced from court records. Not written by SI.

"AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- A former personal assistant to Lance Armstrong filed court papers Thursday alleging that he discovered a banned substance in the six-time Tour de France winner's apartment early last year."

Look at many articles you read, if they are breaking news they are often AP or Reuters newswire reports. I would wait until at least until this evening for articles to actually be written on this. Right now it's just a newswire report.

Lance had testicular cancer. What do you think his natural testosterone level is? Even the UCI allows hormone replacement therapy, AFAIK.

I researched the WADA list myself, and did NOT find androgen listed. However, I'm not expert, and I don't know if "androgen" is a band name or a chemical name.

"In Texas, Mike Anderson, who is involved in a legal fight with Armstrong over alleged promises the cyclist made to help Anderson start a bike shop, made the claim about a banned substance in a brief filed in state district court."

"Anderson said he reported the steroid claim to bolster his case that he was mistreated by Armstrong."

 Gee, that's credible.

Does this guy have a shop in Austin now? On ESPN it looked like he was working in a shop at one point. Other times it was just a garage.

Androgen is the planet that the Enterprise used to go to when they needed dilithium crystals to run the matter/anti-matter engines....

I laughed out loud when I read the article on MSNBC.

BTW...the authorities can get the computer, check the hard drive and see if the guy actually did what he said.
BTWII...this guy's been around for a while. All of a sudden this comes out?

Yeah, right...

I love it when they finish off by saying they are not "doing this for the money". In English, that means they are doing it for the money.

Do ya think they test for steriods?

Lance just called into the Jim Rome show from Spain to talk about this topic. This guy with the allegations was fired from USPS and was by Lance's words a disgruntaled employee. He also demanded $500,000 or he would hurt the team. Love a good extortion case.
