Armstrong meets with Italian magistrate

towards the end of the article

"Armstrong's Wednesday visit has stirred speculation in Italy that the American may be seeking to clear up the entire intimidation issue in time for this year's Giro d'Italia.

In the past, Armstrong has indicated that he wanted to ride the Giro at least once before he retires. Gazzetta concluded that the visit may be an indication that Armstrong hopes to fulfill that desire as early as this year."

More evidence that he's retiring after this year?

How sweet would it be if he raced the Giro? What would his chances for winning be? He hasn't recon'd any of it in person...

Regardless of anyone's opinion of LA, his participation in any race provides exposure to the masses here in America. I would love to watch the Giro, Vuelta, Paris/Roubaix on TV. Right now, we only have the Internet and limited coverage on some cable channels.

I encourage LA to go for it. Its good for cycling.

RAI will cover the Giro on a daily basis - unlike some American "cycling" networks.
